What is a Dissertation?
A dissertation is a product of your learning and understanding from the academic world. It highlights your skill as a student and researcher. It illustrates the way in which you communicate, seek information and depict it in your research. It is a structured piece of writing which examines a subject matter in detail. It is an independent study where you gather the evidence and evaluate them in order to prove its existence.
Your dissertation portrays your ability to choose a research topic that is viable and gather the supporting materials which are reliable. To accomplish your dissertation, you need to value your own experiences, strengths and various sources. As an extended piece of work, it is divided into several sections that are created to respond to the main question. It includes an Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Findings, Conclusion, and Bibliographic References.
The most dissertation is based on the requirements of the institution and program. Oftentimes, it is word processed with double or one-and-half spacing according to the guidelines. To successfully bind it, the researcher has to leave a wide left margin. For you to be familiar with the style and design of your dissertation, we have created a dissertation format guide which is illustrated below.
